UTIL AND REPORTING?

I have a walmart card with a $150 limit. If i use the $150 one day and then pay the full balance off the next, how will it report? Is this a good thing to do or not? Just wondering how to balance my utilization so that i can get a reasonable cli.

Re: UTIL AND REPORTING?

If you ensure that your payment is credited before they report to the CRAs then you should be fine. However, if they report with that maxed out balance your scores will take a definite hit.

Re: UTIL AND REPORTING?

Some CCCs report to the CRAs when the statement cuts (most of mine do), however some also prefer to report at the end of the month, like HSBC. You can call and ask your CCC when they report to the CRAs and then base your payments around that schedule if you are looking to ensure they don't report you maxed out.
