Re: Unintentional USAA...

Automatically?

That could explain it, then- I don't remember my mother ever mentioning USAA- her (and mine, when I started driving) car insurance was through Allstate.  Why, if she was a USAA member, I don't know...

Oh- I just got a Scorewatch alert- dated 3/31!  So, no telling when I might get the alert for either inquiry or new account...

Re: Unintentional USAA...

Maybe active duty families receive numbers automatically for their kids, but I had to add each of my three. DH had had a number from back when we had car insurance in 1980 (both of us had forgotten this entirely.)

On the other hand, they seem to have changed their policies umpty-diddle times since I've been with them. Smiley Wink

Re: Unintentional USAA...

I had to add my siblings for my parents on to their accounts as well...we created "legacies" for them as USAA calls it.

Re: Unintentional USAA...

so it looks like the only way to get in is if you have a parent who is a member or are in the military yourself?  Smiley Sad

bummer...

my brother is a member via his wife and a couple of generations...  he loves it and raves about it...

Re: Unintentional USAA...

I don't think it's automatic. My mom had to add my brother and I (she did when we were kids... I didn't even know until later in life). And I just recently added my son.
