CONFIRMED: ANY and ALL CLIs, new cards, LOC, whatever will ALL require POI ... this unless after they grow bigger, they no longer have the manpower to do so. This comes from the top, one of my contacts in credit over there for the past nearly 2 years! :-) Great CU but ALWAYS requires POI for anything, and a new pull.
This sums up my feelings now about this news with Unify that you just shared.
LOL Yes! Sorry guys....nothing like PenFed, USAA or NFCU (although they have and can ask forPOI too, rarely do it seems)
Just as a data point, I was approved for their Visa Classic Variable yesterday.
SL: $3000 (That's all that I requested--I was being conservative)
APR: 7.24%
EX FICO: 727
EX per Unify: 699
EX INQ: 22
New accounts: 15 in last three months
They requested my last two paystubs and approved me within 15 minutes after receiving them.

Congrats! I was just approved this week after receiving a letter from Unify with counter offer of $5K of their Engage Rewards Visa CC. I originally asked for $15K. Have to wait about a week of the letter. Was not instant approval for me. Thought I was denied at first since I had about 17 inqs on EX with a lot of new accounts opened in the last 8 months. Unify pulled EX at 664 which was lower than my MyFico Ex score at 687.

I'm going to email them today hopefully about self-employed and 1099 employees to see if 1-2 months bank statements will suffice for income verification.
I'm very curious what they told you... this question was never answered.
