Hello Everyone,
I really appreciate to everyone here that help me learned a lot about Credit Card. I have a new question, normally how long I have to own the QuickSilver One card to upgrade to QuickSilver Card? I searched this upgrading question and got a lot of precious information, but I think no one specifically talk about that from time aspect. I just think maybe I should get rid of the Annual Fee and get that $100 (If I remember correctly) bonus for QuickSilver Card.
I upgraded my Capital One Platinum Card to QuickSilver One after 1 year of using my very ordinary Platinum Card. It was a soft inquiry because that day I went to the Capital One Bank and asked whether I can upgrade. The employee called to someone from McLean I guess and they said I was eligible for the QuickSilver One, then I got that. Now, another 6 months later, can I upgrade for the Quicksilver Card?
I just have 2 cards: QS1 and Apple Reward. I got my apple reward just at the beginning of May, so I expreienced a huge drop. From Fico 740 to 703. Should I go to ask for upgrade now or should I wait?
Thank you so much guys. Have a great day~
Contact the EO, I have never had luck with the online or phone CSR's. I have closed 2 cap one cards in the last 3 months due to the inability to upgrade and/or remove the annual fee. I still have a quicksilver one that the annual fee will come in December, I might do a bit more to get that one converted to keep a quicksilver card. However many here have good luck with going through the EO for these types of things. However I don't think you will get them to give you the bonus as that is normally for new accounts only, but worth asking if you are contacting them anyway.
6 months from the time of opening the card is a general rule of thumb for Cap1. Call the EO for better results. You should be able to PC with no problems.
Hit them up on Facebook.. they will respond. That was the route I used to get the EO .. got Quicksilver and a CLI
