Has anyone been successful in upgrading a QuicksilverOne to a standard Quicksilver or other product? If so, how long did you wait to do it? Thanks!

Too many factors to tell. But if you had the card longer than year, I would call the backdoor and try it. But in most cases like this, YMMV
I suppose I should rephrase my question.. Just wondering if anyone has upgrade from a Mastercard platinum to Quicksilver One, and if and how long before they were upgraded again to the standard quicksilver.
if you go the eo route you can get ugraded fairly quickly: took me 2 months. i have not heard of anyone being upgraded to the no af quicksilver only to the af one but the eo will waive the af if you ask them. personally i will never call cap one customer service again, call the eo ask for cli, lower apr, pc to quicksilver, and af waived!

I PC no AF Platinum MasterCard to a Quicksilver Mastercard. New card has no AF and doesn't have the "One" attached to it. Just Quicksilver MasterCard no AF. Upgraded through online chat.

I got my Capital One Journey Platinum Card from Capital One on August 8 2012. I used this card for a year, then they refused to CLI me, so stopped using it.
On Jan 22 2014, I received a email from Capital One, for auto upgrading to QuickSilver. I clicked Link and got my card Yesterday.
It is really a cheap plastic, agai I am not using it any more, it goes to SD. I have no AF.
I can tell you this much, I will know soon enough... My old Orchard Bank card has a $60 AF that I will NOT be paying again. To Cap1's credit, they have given me 1 CLI on the card and upgraded it to Quicksilver One so at least I get rewards, but the rewards don't even come close to making up for a $60 AF. And with only a $800 CL I can't really use the card anyway without killing the Utilization on it.
The AF hits in March so in the next couple of weeks I am going to pay off my balance on the card and call the EO. I am going to ask for a PC to something with NO AF and a CLI. I will honestly be fine with them simply waiving the AF, but if they refuse I am just going to go ahead and close it. It's not even sock drawer worthy for $60 freaking dollars per year.
I went straight from the platinum to quicksilver standard. Usually, a rep can tell u if your acct has the offer. Good luck.
Maybe it's pure coincidence, but I actually just applied directly for the Cap One Quicksilver Rewards card. I was not instantly approved and got the "7-10 days letter" will be coming. I called in for a recon/status inquiry and the rep could not offer me any more insight/info be it have the authority to reverse and approve me. However, she does tell me I have an offer to upgrade my Platinum Card to a Quicksiver Rewards card ... yes, the one I had just tried to apply for? Interesting. She tells me she can not tell me when this upgrade offer was first available but tells me it's good until February 23. So I'm tempted to take the upgrade but since I have some time on the offer have decided to wait to get my "letter" to see why I did not get approved for the Cap One Quicksilver Rewards card in the first place since that would be most ideal to have the regular platinum AND the Quicksilver Rewards card vs just one or the other. So I'm anxiously awaiting the letter.
On a side note, my Cap One Platinum card was originally an HSBC Platinum card that got converted when Cap One bought HSBC. So I've only had the Cap One platinum card a few months and now another opportunity to change/upgrade it. Maybe somehow that factors in to all this! Who knows.

On Dec. 16th, 2013, I PC'd from the Platinum ($1,500) to the QS1 ($3,000)...from what I understand, Cap1 will not PC an AF card to a No AF card. They do waive the AF fee quite freely when you ask. Some have had it waived permanently, while I call each year to get it wiaved for that coming year. However, in 6 months I will email the EO and try for the QS1 to QS PC with a $5K CL. The best of luck to you.
