Did US Bank remove the requirement to have a product with them already to apply? Happened to be on their site and see no language that is sticking out at me that you must have a us bank product like it use to have. Is this new or am i just missing it? I am intrigued by the card, but us bank is so inpredictable at least for me I serious pause as if approved i would probably get the 5k cl
I'd like to know as well!
Still showing it for me. Just made it into a blue bubble thing instead.
It would make sense to drop the existing relationship requirement if they were trying to entice new customers but maybe they benefit by getting some higher end clients to switch over just to get the card.

According to the US Bank website 05-11-19 at 12:10 pm CDT Saturday May 11, 2019 the following language appears at more than one place on their website: "Not a customer? Visit a branch to speak to a banker." Going further, I dug into the Terms & Conditions and brought up the application and short of applying (which I didn't) there was nothing present to block my application. Of course since US Bank tends to manual review most everyting it could get snagged. A question? Will US Bank "throw a live fish back"?

Hmmm maybe it’s one of those things where you go to apply and it shuts you down before you submit? Like a drop-down menu to select whether you’re an existing customer or not. I don’t know lol. Have you tried to start filling out the app?
nah haven't done an app yet as 1) don't trust us bank persay as been shafted with low SL's before 2) being a good person overall and havent really taken any HP's recently other the a car about 4 months ago. TU > 800 atm and that is likely who they would pull. I have the CSR though and don't know if i want another high AF CC among my other AF cc's as well although not that high being barclay's business AA card, delta and a few other 80-100 af cards. I would have to go down the mobile payment route that i really havent used much to obviously make it worth it weight as well.. Just getting a twitchy finger as I have been a good kid recently. I have one late payment on my Experian report that i have been waiting to fall off that will fall of any day and go positive so haven't had a hp on Experian for about a year now as well. Once that late payment falls off ill certainly be going for a few cards that are likely to pull Experian since hp's on that cra are currently low. So trying to hold off and get about 3-5 cards when my Experian is > 800 score as well and do a so called small app spree all at once. Time will tell if im am a sucker or not lol

@Anonymous ya i saw that as well.. I think it is open to everyone now from the terms and conditions and the applications although did see the wording about "not a customer". It use to be alot of explicit on the wording in many places saying must be a us bank customer and must be a customer for x amt of days, etc... That has all disappeared.
CreditCuriosity did look around for loop holes concerning the pre-quals for personal and business. Could not even find such animals on sponsored websites. You have done well with most credit card apps and US Banks seems to have softened some on their more hard line attitudes on inquiries and the like. You could apply and use the UW number for a reconsider (as you well know) as a back up?

ya possibly still consider although i kinda want 850's across the board like you have lol as i have conquered pretty much ever lender and have > 500k credit between personal and business now so do i really "need" it lol. Maybe my new goal with be 850's across the board? Although i suspect I always will want the sign-up bonuses as they are so nice of various cards lol
