For a lot of us $21 doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. If you can remember to use the Flex for those purchases I would do it, but at the end of the day I wouldn't stress if I used another card.

Right. IMO, the "free money" argument misses some things:
1) There is some effort in remembering which card to use when. Some people find this much harder than others do. Much easier just to have a go-to card (DC in this case) and one high value exception (use BCP at grocery stores) 6% is worth remembering, an extra 1% less so.
2) Sometimes, categories don't code as you expect. So you may end up getting 1% on CFF when you could have got 2% (so using the CFU for this is a little better!)
3) $21 even "free" is a very small amount in a year. If it takes you a few seconds each time to think "Am I using the right card?" probably not worth it.
Thanks for all of the various responses !!
Actually, I have no problem remembering which card to use for which category.
It may even help my aging brain to remain sharper.
My wife is not really interested in credit cards, and could care less which card we use.
I was just thinking that 2 main drivers (CITI DC and AMEX BCP) is simpler to manage. Plus, I have Target Redcard for 5% in their stores.
The Chase FF is my second oldest card and is a joint with my wife. It (or some version of it) must remain with us for the rest of our lives because of aging (the cards not us).
The $21 annually (or probably less) will not change our lifestyle. I was just looking to hear what others would do. I don't mind keeping the card active, but not necessarily as a 'daily driver' with wallet space. When Chase has a quarter that will pay 5% on my ATT bill, I will switch that over for the quarter, like I did this past year.
Finally, I understand the person who replied above is getting $5 monthly for her daycare charge for using a higher category charge, but that is $60 a year, which is different than $21 a year. ,
Everyone please stay healthy !!
I carry 7 different cards in my wallet right now because I'm maximizing my rewards by picking the best card for each category, and also working some bonus spend offers. Getting a little more free money by going from 2 cards to 3 sounds like a no brainer to me.

Yeah, in my case those are even more laugable than Amex offers. At least with Amex I can utilize 1-2 out of every 20, Chase it's 1 out of every 40.
I don't know if that $21 alone is worth switching, the rotating cats would have to come into play as well. it would depend on whetehr yo prefer cash, or UR's though.
Cash, the whole cash, and nothing but the cash !!

If you can even use that one out of 40. The last one I qualified for they didn't credit my account, and when I asked them to they wanted me to print a screenshot of their website and send it to them snailmail as proof they had offered it...

Yikes... So far I haven't been all that impresswed with Chase offers, but hearing that story makes me inclined to just ignore them completely. I've never had that problem with Amex.
Chase offers are pretty useless. Most of them relate to home security systems and other obscure corners of the shopping world. I've used a total of one (1) Chase offer in my eight years as a Chase cardholder, and that was for CVS, and they've never offered it to me since.
