Using Chase UR card with MikeagePlus card

How would someone use the above 2 cards together? I guess I’m confused because one accrues miles per purchase and the other one is points.

You would transfer the UR points to United and thus turn them into United miles.

Ok makes sense. Is it possible to transfer them the other way, miles to UR points? Is that even a smart option?

You could also hang on to some of your UR points and use them to transfer to other partners or buy hotel nights and other travel through the Chase travel portal at 1.5c per point.  You've got more options with UR points.

Re: Using Chase UR card with MileagePlus card

If I were to transfer points to miles, how many points make up a mile?

Usually 1:1.  As a suggestion, Google Chase Ultimate Rewards travel partners and read some of the articles about the program.

Re: Using Chase UR card with MikeagePlus card

The CSR and the MileagePlus Club are my two cards. I can transfer UR points earned from the CSR to United and then earn 1.5 miles per dollar on the Club for non dining and travel spend. If you go this route, you're basically going all-in with United earning while still getting the club access (and other United perks if you don't already have them or better via Premier Gold or higher).
