Utilizing 0% Intro APRs and potential CLIs

My November app spree consisted of a CSP and BofAcash rewards. CSP didn't have an intro apr period, and BofA did but my limit at the time was so low ($1k) it wasn't worth It.

March app spree yielded 4 cards w/ decent limits and long promotional APRs. I want to take advantage of the no interest money but don't want it to thrawrt any potential CLIs I can get (namely AMEX)

Can anyone share experiences with using a promotional apr (>6 months) and how it may have affected CLI chances?

Congrats on new cards! And great post.

My personal is experience is this: taking advantage of 0% promo on 2 cards has taken my overall UTL higher than it normally is AND much higher than it was at time of AMEX approvals. I also opened my 0% promo cards after AMEX approvals. I have been turned down for CLIs with AMEX due to high UTL (~24% at time of request) and for new accounts. Fortunately they gave me $9.5K to start so I'm in good shape with that.

Edit: But I have managed to get SP CLIs from WF, Citi and Barclays during this time. Smiley Wink
