Just a PSA.

I can see this. The Apple Card and the Venmo Visa are kind of targeted at a similar audience. Venmo probably just doesn't want to give Apple any network fees.

The Venmo page sort of suggests its Apple Pay's restriction, but who knows! Could easily be that Apple Pay doesn't allow users to their card because Venmo is blocking it.
You can add your Venmo Credit Card to virtual wallets like Samsung Pay and Google Pay™. Apple Pay® does not allow users to add their Venmo Credit Card. If you have any questions about adding your card, please reach out to the specific virtual wallet provider.

With language like that, it makes me wonder how much data Venmo is trying to gather from its cardholders transactions.
That's quite interesting. I would have expected the Venmo card to work fine with Apple Pay. Thanks for the PSA. I wasn't really considering the card (I have the AOD Visa Signature already for 3% everywhere) but keep getting pre-approval notices and my wife just got a pre-approval notice in the mail also so was kind of thinking about it due to the $10K cap being lifted. This makes me much less interested.
This is due to Apple having a direct competitor to Venmo Person to Person payments. It's called Apple Cash.
