As long as the first year is free it's worth it with the increased signing bonus but after that then no it isn't.

Personally, I wouldn't take it for very much (I love how the article now suggests Arrival+ as a good alternative, as compared to cancelling after the first year and getting a free 2% everywhere card).
I think it's very unlikely that issuers will have two different annual fees for a prolonged period. (Although SOME people still get BCP for $75 for a while). I would expect that everyone's fee goes up some time after renewal,
But maybe Cap One will surprise me!
Agreed. If I had to guess they'll delay the increased AF for current cardholders for a few years like they did for the AMEX Plat and SPG but eventually they'll push that out. Can't imagine CapOne missing out on that revenue for too long.

I dont think it will go up based on wording. ...fee waiver...$59 each year after...

That's that standard type of wording on all AF cards, which just refers to the current situation. For example the Amex Plat had similar wording about $450 each year, which didn't prevent them raising the AF.
Jc, wasn't Cap1 offering some sort of promo or limited-run, AF-free version of Venture a year or so ago? Sort of like they also had an AF-free Spark card promo awhile back as well? Guess those no-AF versions are sadly no longer available...
Venture One has no AF but 1.25 back not 2.00

v1 is a worhtless card.. qs beats venture. I see no use for the v1 other than possibly 0% for 12 months after that PC the card to QS
