Not a bad idea.

OP could take advantage of triple pull if their AAOA can handle it and go for a QS then platinum. After all you will be able to combine in 6 anyway, right? I mean yes, its likely the other limits wont be any better but theres still a chance.

Another factor, perhaps overlooked, how old is this card you requested the CLI? What's the current CL? What total CL would be suitable for your purposes?

11/14/14 Total CL $1,100; 6/30/15 Total CL $180K

I have 7.5k CL on that card, I also have the regular venture with 10k, but have no interest in using that one cause of the high apr. I would be fine with 15k.

You need to just give it time and patience. EO is not a magic wand. Besides, the number has been converted to normal CSRs because of overuse.

Kdm i agree with you on this. however i know for sure you are trying to stop that huge gash in the boat with a bandaid. everytime there is an issue. they are calling the EO. just let em do it already. its not a solve all. you will pound your head against a wall trying to explain going thru nomal channels. hehehe. You're right; it just boils my blood because people abuse things and then it gets ruined for everyone. Now someone who might legitimately need the EO won't be able to call them because people called them over silly matters.

Okay let me ask this question in another way so someone may actually say something helpful, I want to be able to keep a balance on this card since I have 0% APR for about a year. I need the cli so since I wasn't offered what I wanted, I want to know if I should call cap1 since they will ask me what I want then.

You must be talking about venture 1. because the Regular venture does not have 0 percent promo.

To be frank. the easiest solution with cap one when offered a very low limit cli. is to decline the Cli at that moment. just say i withdraw my credit limit increase. then come back in a couple of weeks and you will see the limit is higher. but this is why all is eluding to calling the EO. It may help your case. it may not. and you don't want to end up with a baby increase. The fact they offered means they want to give you increase. But not what you actually want at this time. I Say try again after refusing the increase . (which i hope you did not accept) and in most cases. the increase will be higher when you come back again.
