You need to just give it time and patience. EO is not a magic wand. Besides, the number has been converted to normal CSRs because of overuse.

Kdm i agree with you on this. however i know for sure you are trying to stop that huge gash in the boat with a bandaid. everytime there is an issue. they are calling the EO. just let em do it already. its not a solve all. you will pound your head against a wall trying to explain going thru nomal channels. hehehe. Smiley Wink

You're right; it just boils my blood because people abuse things and then it gets ruined for everyone. Now someone who might legitimately need the EO won't be able to call them because people called them over silly matters.

What do you consider important enough to call EO?

Not getting the CLI you wanted is IMO not an "EO worthy" type of request unless there is some really extenuating circumstance - maybe if you had the card for 5 years, perfect history, etc it would warrant asking for a reasoning. But really, CLIs are not what the EO exists for.

You have to remember that just because the EO exists does not mean we are meant to have access and call them...that's why it's called a "backdoor" number. They're behind the scenes operations at Capital One. So really, we should never be calling them....we should be calling the CSRs. And if dissatisfied, you ask for a manager and escalate your issue.

I had cards for years before I even knew what "EO" was, and I got CLIs and such without it. I think we end up relying on it as a crutch because we think it's a quick fix but really, it's not meant for consumers to be calling, period, or the number would be readily available.

The Capt. Picard facepalm, while always super funny, was probably not the response OP was looking for.  Not looking to start any wars, but Just my .02 cents.

Just curious Jazzy, is the helpful response you are looking for, 'the answer YES?' Okay let me ask this question in another way. If you were ill-advised to call, would that be helpful?

OK, how many statements & when.

$7.5K to $15K seems a stretch. My V1 went from $7.5 to $12.5K at 75 days and that seems a rarity. I was pleasantly surprised

11/14/14 Total CL $1,100; 6/30/15 Total CL $180K

I agree. that is impressive. maybe i have to look at the V1. No AF. has its own rewards. i know the 1.25 miles is not great. but hey. no AF is a plus. My Venture is only 5k. and im waiting to get increase.

Or the numbers could just be a quick way for them to ID the person as a MyFico'er. Lol that could be good or bad.

You don't have to wait a whole month to try again. Some have been successful trying again in 2 weeks (I was).
