Does this card give 4% back in store at walmart? I'm aware that it does give 4% back for online grocery pickup but I haven't seen anyone mention if it worked in store for the 4% back.
Nobody with this card have tried it at Wal-Mart in-store?
Sounds good I am really close to the neighborhood Walmart which would benefit me when my Walmart card pass it's first year and no longer give 5% in store.
Just a helpful DP for others since nobody could answer my question before regarding whether or not the Verizon Visa would count as 4% in store at Walmart. I haven't tried at the supercenter I may try it for this statement. But in store at the neighborhood Walmart it DOES count as 4% groceries. Again I'm not sure about the supercenter because I wanted to try the neighborhood one first and I just got my first statement today.
My local Walmart Supercenter codes as grocery in store with my Verizon Visa. You used to be able to look up each merchant by location on the Visa website, it appears Visa has removed the lookup tool (my link no longer works). However, last time i searched it, no all Walmart
supercenters coded as grocery, some coded as general merchandise.
My problem is now Walmart Grocery pickup now codes as walmart.com instead of grocery. I hate to shop in the store because they you spend twice as long in the checkout lines as you do shopping.
As a general rule, neighborhood Walmarts (green sign) code as grocery while Walmart supercenters (blue sign) do not.
I also noticed that the visa lookup link stopped working. Well I have the Walmart card so I get 5% back regardless with grocery pickup. As for the in-store 4% atleast I don't have to worry about getting a low percentage once my first year bonus for the Walmart MasterCard is expired. I'm loving the Verizon Visa even more now! I will test the supercenter next.
