I think they said no because the PC itself counted as an upgrade and they can only upgrade once every six months.  I'm gonna try again for the WMC conversion in Aug and attempt another CLI then

Stupid Crapital One, they shouldve given you $50 in rewards, totally unacceptable.

Capital one is a sub prime lender. They have higher default losses compared to Amex and others. I think they are trying to move up their profile. But they still have very low credit limits and that limits the card usage for high spenders. My QS card comes out only when I travel overseas to be able to save on FTF. With no chip and pin, it limits my useage overseas at unmanned locations.

Yeah, and, funny thing is I didn't even intend it as a threat, I just said it because it was true, I meant it in a kind of, "don't worry you aren't inconveniencing me" friendly sort of way joking with the CSR. The previous time I had lost a card they also refused to fedex one and they wouldn't budge so I wasn't expecting them to this time either--but I guess the magic words did the trick: "sock drawer".

I love Cap 1! They removed a 30day late payment for me. I didnt send any letters or anything. I made one 5 minute phone call and it was off the next month. I received a letter that said they couldnt find any record of my late payment.
