Victoria's Secret (Comenity) Account Fraud 🤬

Hey Everyone. I'm not sure if this is the right forum topic to post this in or not. I just used my Victoria's Secret card for the first time in a few months. I logged into my online account (Comenity) and see that on the same day that I made my transaction, someone else used my card number to make a $100+ transaction. I have already contacted Comenity and they initiated their 90d investigation and froze the card number. Just wondering if anyone else has experience dealing with Comenity on fraudulent transactions. Thanks.

The saga continues... oh how I love Comenity Bank. I went to login to my online portal. Not so fast. Apparently, as part of their fraud resolution process, they delete your online portal access. Why? No idea. They won't tell you much. I asked them how I get my portal access back. Apparently, you have to wait for the new card to come in the mail and create an entirely new online account. Does this reset the age of the account? It better not. Will I be able to see my account history? They are not sure.

Sorry to hear about your fraud issue. Hope they resolve quickly. I understand locking your account. That protects you, but creating new account just seems ridiculous. GL2U

Thanks for your response. I don't understand half of what Comenity Bank does. I really hope someone buys them out, or at least the companies I have cards established with, move to another company. lol.

It doesn't look small on mine, so... lol. I hope this gets resolved too. I honestly don't understand the top secret resolution process they have. Never seen anything like it. Right now, I am in limbo with them. I suppose when the new card comes in and I create a new online portal, I'll know where I stand.

See if you can find out which store was used to make the transaction. If its the same place. Well the cashier might be wearing a new nightie. Never know.

That's a great point @FireMedic1. Unfortunately, they would not tell me anything more than it was a web based transaction. What's startling about that, is how someone got my card number entered on their website. Not very secure.

I've always wondered if a lot of these identity theft/credit card fraud are inside jobs. Example, the customer service rep writes down someone's personal info and/or card number on a Post-it note and then when they leave their job they "have fun".

Anything is possible. Whoever it was, ordered a lot of fragrance items. I just wish that Comenity had a not so archaic process of dealing with it.
