I previously had a VS Credit Card when I was 18 and stupidly let it go. It was sold off to Midland Funding and I paid it off in full through them in 2013/2014, the VS account has come off my EQ and EX reports but not TU yet. Would it be hard to get approved again? I have been trying for the shopping cart trick I have heard of but it isn't prompting for me so I am not sure it's work the hard pull to get denied...Trying to rebuild my credit and wanting to use up inquiries wisely.

That was actually the fist card (revolver) I got to start rebuilding along with the B of A secured. I didn't even know about the shopping cart trick, I literally was just going to purchase a few items and got the selected offer for $500. That was about 4 years ago and they have been super generous with the auto CLIs. Now its at 4K, I never have asked, they are really good and regular about increasing. I was in the high 500's when I started with them and still had a few lates/ one charge off on my reports. However, I never had an account with them prior.

I just got approved with Vs credit card with 250 limit, with the high 500's working on rebuilding my credit, paid off some debts and my credit score is going up slowly. How long you think until a credit limit increase?

I have given up my VS card dream. I have tried numerous times and still nothing.. I applied for Express. and VS the same day. Received two letters both requesting that I call for verification. I called and spoke to a rep and she asked 4 questions to verify my identity and then she said I would receive a letter regarding both accounts. A week later I received two more letters. Express approval for 250 and VS denial from Comenity bank saying they could not verify my identity??? Very confusing and disappointed. The cards are from  the same bank. ..

You can use your Express at VS unless something has changed.

Really ?? You can use the Express card at Victoria Secrets?? I know you can  use VS at Bath and Body Works...

Did a little digging and apparently Express was previously owner by the Limited and at that time you could use the Express card at other stores. I believe that is no longer the case...Unfortunately.

Oops! I didn't realize the brands had separated. I guess something did change. Just wait it out. You don't want to be approved for too many Com or Sync cards too fast. ☺️
