Re: View Pending Charges Button on AMEX

I had to use the search function on AmEx to find this, but here it is under their FAQ's:

To view Pending Charges, log into your online Card account, select your personal or business Card, and then click on "Recent Activity". A "View Pending Charges" link is located just above your posted transactions list.

Re: View Pending Charges Button on AMEX

it is new because it wasnt there before. I think on last saturday night i called in about a question and they said their system is down because they are doing some upgrades and maintenance because i noticed a couple changes about the account summary website including the payment screen.

Re: View Pending Charges Button on AMEX

Strange, I've been seeing that link since I got my Starwood card back in July.

Maybe new accounts had it right away and existing accounts are being upgraded to the new format incrementally.

USAA World MasterCard - $14,500
American Express SPG - $20,000
NFCU CashRewards Visa Sig - $20,000
PenFed Platinum Rewards Visa - $5,000

Have you ever used it? Typically, it displays until you use it, and then it goes away for a while until they're ready for you to ask for a CLI again.

It used to be in a different place, though. I think it was some drop-down box over on the right, under Card Management or something, where you could add an AU for instance.

The American Express site tends to wear me out, because it seems to shift around every time I log on.

eta: whoops, wrong thread. Thanks to Qtip for the catch. (The AmEx site still wears me out, though! Smiley Very Happy)

I think this thread is referring to a "pending charges" button, not the"luv" button. There was another thread, that I believe you were commenting on as well, that mentioned the luv button not disappearing though.

Re: View Pending Charges Button on AMEX

I'm sure it is just a coincidence, but who knows.

Barclays has had the pending charges listed just below the recent activity for some time. I really like it, too. Especially when you have a recurring charge about to hit, you see the temporary charge a day or two before, and the corresponding drop in available credit.

A few months back, I remember getting one of those Amex survey requests and followed the link. When they asked for any ideas for improvement, I suggested they add a way to view pending charges the way some other companies do. Now, voila! Pending charges on the Amex site.
