Visa Signature not reporting a balance

I've had my Fidelity Rewards Visa Signature card issued by BofA/FIA. I checked my credit report and it's not reporting my credit limit. I've read that somtimes the limits on visa Signatures aren't reported. Has anyone had any success with getting them to report the credit limit for these? If they count it it'd decrease my util by 10-20%, so it'd be highly preferable if they would.

Re: Visa Signature not reporting a balance

Do you mean not reporting a limit.? They never do, which is why Igot rid of mine. BOFA only reported High Balance. And that's the way it is very all No Pre Set limit cards, except BOFA World MC. They report limit and & Balance.

It's not factored into the utilialization. It oesn't hurt your score, I just wanted all of my limits to report. It may reported after you ask, then it will stop. It's mostly the credit agencies that do this, not the Bnaks, themselves.

There are exceptions. I have a Wells Fargo Visa Signature, and it reports a limit as "original" limit, even though it's listed as "flex spending" account.

Re: Visa Signature not reporting a balance

That is not entirely true. My BOA Visa Signature is reported to Experian with the limit and w/o to EQ and TU.

So it is 1 out of 3, which is better than nothing cause most of the people I deal with pulls Experian.

True, 1/3 is better than none, but not much better. Not having my Visa Signature reported increases my utilization by 33%, so when I apply for a car loan they may see my Experian score based on 9% utilization, but then they'll look at my Equifax and Transunion scores based on 27% utilization.

Re: Visa Signature not reporting a balance

Just to add to what I said about my WF Signature Visa: I know that it reports limits to Experian and Equifax. I have no idea about about TU, because I haven't seen that report.

And I could swear that one of our members was saying that it reports to EQ and TU, but not EX.

Truly a coin flip!

Heh, might be Smiley Happy. On the other hand, someone in a different thread (forgot who it was) mentioned the assumption that a Visa Signature might report limits when it started as a platinum, which is the case with mine.
