Is the LUV button on the website a hard or soft inquiry?

As far as my experience, it's definitely not a hard inq, if any at all. I think they look at account usage.

Yes, I agree.  I definitely think they grant increases based on usage.  I have never been denied a cli and I use my card every time I go to walmart--which is quite frequently.  I have never seen where they have done an inquiry into my CR and I check my scores monthly.

It's definitely an internal thing (automated), but I don't know what the requirements are.   I pretty much live at Walmart and have been denied CLIs twice, even though I've never been late and always pay wayyyy more than minimum, if not PIF.  Today they finally caved and gave me $75 more.  Woo Hoo!!  Now I can REALLY splurge!

Now Target, otoh.  I lubs me some Target!
