Once you accept the offer to upgrade, it shouldn't take more than 2 weeks before you have your new card. I think it took about 10 days for mine to arrive once I accepted the upgrade. You can use your old card until you activate the new one IIRC. Then your old card will show as closed on your acct page, but if you were signed up for the FICO, you'll still be able to access it from that acct until you enroll the new acct in paperless statements. It's been nearly a year since my old store card was closed (transferred) and I can still check my FICO through that acct, even though I haven't signed up the WD for paperless.
The letter states I dont have to do anything. The card will be mailed. It only states if I DONT WANT THE CARD TO CALL 1800.......

Maybe they changed how the upgrade is offered. I know a lot of people here posted they also had to accept the offer, and like me, some were hesitant due to worry about how it might effect AAoA. I ran the change through a spreadsheet and found it would only lower my AAoA by about 3 months, so I accepted the upgrade, as predicted, it did only lower my AAoA by a few months.
At least they leave an option to take or decline the upgrade for those who might be affected more drastically in the AAoA area.
Bottom line (I forgot to include it originally) Congrats on the Upgrade!
Seems most of us wait about 2 years for it. Are both your Walmart store cards still active? I was wondering how old the card was that they upgraded for you, the older or newer card (I did notice at least 1 was past the 2 year mark I think).
Thanks!
And you right. I checked my dates: My first walmart card NEVER has graduated. 4,000$ Limit. I opened that card 01-Sep-2010.
My card that graduated I opened 01-Dec-2011. I remember a rep telling me they look at your card every 6 months to check if it is eligible for graduating.
and I clicked the LUV button just for kicks about 5 minutes ago and...BAM I shot up 2100CL from 1500. Now when I get my card I will call credit solutions and see if they will match my 4,000 Walmart card limit.
Keep up the good work!
