Re: WAMU FREE FICO SCORES...

Open a card for a score...nah!!!  Basically the only thing you can do is track your progress regardless of where it comes from. The CBs update instantly and something can change over night and you may notbe aware for days.  Jsut pay on time more than min and don't get app happy and keep uti down and everyone should be fine. Just keep in mind that the credit card industry uses a different scoring formula than the FICO you see here and changes on your credt cards may effect your bankcard score more than your FICO classic

Re: WAMU FREE FICO SCORES...

It's just those ding-dang lates... Smiley Sad

I never had problems with mortgages and loans with fixed payments. We always set them to be vacuumed out of the checking account before we even saw them. My lates all occurred with CC's before I moved everything online. Part of the reason that the recent one happened was because the Sears/ Citi online account is so incredibly slow to get going. It's my fault that I was late, but if I have to do everything by paper, I'm pretty much doomed.

So I figure that my CC slice of the pie chart has almost as many asterisk's as Barry Bonds' home run record! Oh well, guess we'll see, and who knows, maybe one day one of my GW's will actually work.

Could be based on your Experian score if they pulled that for the application but it for sure does not like new accounts. It penalizes you even more severely than Classic FICO for that.

Nope mine so far have always been based on TU. My TU FICO dropped 14 points as well

Nope what? I know people who get Experian generated scores not Transunion. Most get TU but it is not always TU.

They may not be as low as you think. The PFICO, from my understanding calculates differently. I'm thinking that if you get dinged it doesn't last as long as the classic FICO. too bad there is no way you can get them another way.
If you app for the WAMU cc to get your scores, you probably will not get the score until 2 months from now anyway (at least that is how long it took me to get my score). I would save my inq for another card that comes out with a free score, I'm sure it is coming soon...

I closed the card because the credit limit was an embarrassment but my classic FICO was 682 when I was approved and my PFICO was 692. My TU is now 713 while my PFICO is 684 due to numerous new accounts. Still getting updates on a closed account. Smiley Wink

Re: WAMU FREE FICO SCORES...

Wow smallfry, I am so glad I didn't cose mine.  I was approved at only 1k and then got Junny for 2 back when the only other cardI had was a HHB rebuilder.  In the year since having the card, Wamu has been really good to me with CLIs it is my second highest limit now.

Re: WAMU FREE FICO SCORES...

Brammy,

How often did you get CLI's on your WAMU? I have yet to get one and it is still stuck at 3k. I have had the card for a year now. What gives?

My PFICO  score is continuing to go up, as of late. I always pay way more than the min. I think it is because I don't use the card that often now. I don't think they like me.

I initially used mine for a BT offer that came with it and paid it off before the offer expired. Have used it that way a few times.  They have increased me only every 6 mos since they don't do it on request but each increased has been good.  The first being 1.5k and the second being 2.5k.

Now Junn was definitely a different kettle of fish.  Hoping WaMu holds true to form come next month.  If not I will PIF and let it sit in the sock drawer

Re: WAMU FREE FICO SCORES...

I guess I will just wait to see what happens. I haven't had any real problems with them and I don't really need the CLI's. I can be patient if they normally give CLI's like the ones you got.

What was your limit when you first got the card?
