Re: WAMU help

WaMu is definitely "random." Some customers get increases like clockwork every 6 months...and some never see one after years of being a customer...it is definitely a wacky company! I've been with them three years now and i have gotten several increase, my sister, who has similar credit and the same card has received no CLIs...go figure!

Re: WAMU help

If you setup online access to your WAMU account is there a CLI luv button?  I've used this on some of my accounts and gotten CLI's with no problem.

Re: WAMU help

Eddie I think you received some good advice here. I personally have had no trouble with WAMU. They have gradually increased my CL over the last couple years and even recently as a week or so ago lowered my APR because I called and asked. Perhaps wait another payment cycle and follow through with them again. Especially if you have paid down more of your balance.

For those who were bashing the poster MOREMONEE4MEPLZ I must say I agree with him/her to a point. While MOREMONEE4MEPLZ just assumed eddie was maxed out, which was probably wrong because he didn't mention that, I do think it is wise to not max out your cards nor is it wise to not pay them down to a bare minimum over time.

So I would only request a CLI when I've shown I can be responsible with the card limits I do have. But that's just me.

I do think it's a good idea to get a CLI when you can because it should help your credit unless of course you max out that 30k CL card and take 10 years to pay it off...lol.

Just be smart I guess is what I'm trying to say. Smiley Wink

Re: WAMU help

I carried a $1200 credit for a few months even...I was able to get someone who could help with the situation and received a $500 increase after 4 years of nothing. She said she didn't see why I never received an increase.

This card just pays for my server, nothing else. So it gets paid every month. $250 up, $250 paid. Used to use it when I was building. Now it's a utility card.

I use my cards to keep them active but don't use them to max them out. Not at those interest rates I have Smiley Very Happy
