WF CL allocation - change in policy?

Over the years, I have used the WF reallocation option a few times.  I have three cards with Wells.

Called in and spoke with a 'Premier Cards Agent.'   Agent read disclaimer which asks for income and said a HP might be needed.   I don't recall the possibility of a HP and am unsure if income was asked for my previous reallocation call.

Anyway,  no HP was needed and I was granted a reallocation to put my Autograph at $25500.

It's been a while since I've moved stuff around. Glad they ultimately did this without the HP.  However, I think that may be part of their new verbiage telling you it will...essentially telling you this with most everything will...but then in practice, it's decided through techno-wizardry that you don't need one after all..

That's interesting OP.

I reshuffled some WF CLs just recently after my Autograph approval and there was no mention by the agent as far as incurring a HP (or potential thereof) other than the standard disclosure when moving limits around 🤷‍♂️

I need a list of cards you didn't apply for in the last 2 years, like all three of them

Good data point, @NoMoreE46

Quick question, do you have a Prime or Premier checking account?  I ask since the credit card specialist you dealt with referenced 'Premier', and they started doing that with me as well once I upgraded my checking account to the (no longer available) 'Preferred checking' a few years ago.

I've wondered if this was the same agents just answering the phone differently (very likely) but in any case the few times I've had to call for something related to my Propel they were very attentive.

@UncleB

They answer the phone for me that way too and I've never had a checking account with them. They didn't always answer that way and I think its somehow tied to the card's credit limit. My Propel card started at $4K and now after about 4 CLI's it's up to $21.5K. I'm not sure exactly when it changed but I think at $6.3 or $9.5K. Also for interesting data points. I have been able to get increases with my reports locked and my last 3 increases have been +50% of my current limit rounded up to the next highest $100.00 increment.
$6.3

$9.5

$14.3

$21.5

Re: WF CL allocation - change in policy?

I called in using the dedicated myFICO members number  Smiley Tongue!

Kidding aside, nothing is premier about my WF profile.  I have no idea why I get these agents.   I agree that Premier CSRs do have quite a  pleasant and professional demeanor.

For DP,  I have (in order of age), a paid vehicle loan,  a $12500 Propel, a basic checking accoun,  a PCd {from Active Cash} Autograph at $1000 and the 2nd Autograph at $22500.
