WF Propel bonus points?

So quick question for the guru’s here.
And towards the bottom a request.

It’s a new card (Amex Propel) but I have been looking at the points and they are not adding up properly. I called in a spoke to a CSR to inquire the 3x points that I “should” be earning on the categories such as restaurants (including) fast food and gas and even bought some items through the “Go for rewards” where you can earn additional “bonus” points... he could not explain it to me how or when those “bonus” points get credited to my account. He said it could take up to 2 billing cycles!!! I find that troubling.

Now I understand that it depends on the merchant code (MC) which is not disclosed on the website. If you read the fine print regarding the MC from WF they state “ it is based off Amex current MC. Okay great, Under the category of some food places I have been to, it does show as restaurants/food but no MC anywhere.

Now to be fair I have yet to receive a statement from WF that should be here in the next week or so.

So here’s my questions -

Does WF have another card that give points based off purchases?
If so how long does it take to reflect on your statement?
And is WF accurate with tracking the points earned?

Now I did ask the CSR “Does WF show on the statement/reflect your purchases made in the bonus categories? This would eliminate me needing to shift through all my purchases to calculate “IF” I am getting those “Bonus” points.” He replied “No, however that point is valid, in fact I will forward your request to the proper department to see about implementing a calculator to show your purchases that do qualify for the 3X bonus and additional points earned.”

So here’s where I would like to ask the community to partner up in my crusade in trying to get WF to “show” their clients in simple terms - Congratulations! Here are your purchases that you earned for you 3x points!!! And likely the additional bonus points you get for using the “ Go far rewards” program.

Naturally the more people request something, the likelihood they would implement something of the sort. So please reach out to WF and request a earnings statement.

Please let me know if I am wrong for requesting a simple break down in the purchases that I made to earn my “Bonus” or if that request is too far out of this world because that means the bank would not be able cheat someone out of points they should be earning because that would cutting into their profits!!!

The breakdown is available to view on monthly statements. The points are calculated and added to the account for purchases posted in that billing cycle.

If you go to the GoFar Rewards site (the link is in your WF login) go to 'My Rewards', then select 'Account Activity/Orders'; there you can see the pending points for each individual transaction.  For purchases in the 3x categories there will be two entries for each purchase; one for 1x points, and a second entry for the 'bonus' 2x points (for a total of 3x). 

 

For any purchases that fall under a promotion like the recent 40x at Texaco/Chevron and 40x at CVS, you should see the promo points fully post a few days after the transaction posts, with the 'regular' points available at the usual time (upon statement date).

 

It's a little confusing, but once you understand what you're looking at it makes sense.  I'll add that so far all of my transations have earned points as expected.  Smiley Happy
