@lagr wrote:Is it still going to be 50% more value on earned points redeeming for airfare if you have the old WF Visa Signature Card? I think it is but I cant find a source.
They're force converting the old VS cards as well. There are going to be no legacy WF cards left out there eventually.
I called them and they didn't have any known time as to when the ole Visa Signature that amplifies the points for air travel will be changing. Guess I'll just use them up if/when I get a letter that there's a deadline to use them for the extra value. Until then business as usual. That was the whole point of the cards for me is using them together to get 4.5 back on airfare compared to just 3x.
I don't know what other travel card to use once it goes away. I don't fly much and hate annual fee shenanigans. This was a great alternative to the Chase trifecta for me. I was set on Capital One Venture X when it debuted until they nerfed the benefits. Might just keep the Autograph even if it starts to be a mediocre 3% on travel for me. The thing I really like is how generous the travel/transportation category is how it includes lyft/uber, tolls, parking, rental cars. Some of the no frills cards that have a travel caegory are like airfare only.

You could PC your one WF Autograph to something else (like the 2% or BILT card)
@UncleB wrote:Well, few of us can say we didn't see this one coming.
I'm sorta sad to see the Propel going away, but on the other hand having the same account as a Visa will making using the card marginally more convenient (no more having to consider if Amex is accepted). I'm sure those who would use the card overseas are likely happy for the same reason.
On a positive note, doing PCs to other WF Visa cards might be a possiblity now. If the option becomes available, I might give some thought to changing mine over to an Active Cash... 🤔
I would never use it overseas because of the FTF, the Apple Card or SoFi card are MC, but have no FTF, same with my wife's DiscoverCard.
I'm sad to see Propel going away too. I knew the days were numbered as soon as they stopped accepting apps (although a small part of me hoped they'd reopened apps), I kind of hoped they'd forget about us. I logged in today and saw the conversion message for the 1st time. I'm also going to miss the metal card (well, part metal, part plastic, they need the NFC to work for tap 2 pay; I have a titanium Apple Card, but that isn't magnetic, Propel is steel and magnetic). I saw it coming, I just HOPED it was a mirage
Active Cash isn't the best 2% imo. Citi stopped requiring a minimum redemption (Redeem to direct deposit, statement credit or redeem for purchasewill reduce cashback) and SoFi never had one, doesn't make you wait for a statement to redeem 2% (3% for 1 year with SoFi Bank Direct Deposit) (Small inconvenience, you have to redeem to SoFi, but easy transfer for billpay)
My Autograph Card (Or as I call it, the Auto-switch-n-bait card) arrived a few days ago, finally opened it up.
It will go directly to my sock drawer without activation ...where the Propel card landed a couple months ago.
Certainly not the card I signed up for a few years ago.

1. Neither Propel nor Autograph ever had a FTF.
2. Autograph is a metal-and-plastic sandwich type card just like Propel
3. WF recently got rid of the $25 increments and now has no minimum redemption.

Will Wells Fargo do a PC to a Bilt Mastercard?
If so this is great, but I've never heard of a PC to the Bilt card being possible.

Hey @M_Smart007 ,
Wanted to see if WF has notified you yet regarding which of their cards they will be PCing you into since you already hold both of the two confirmed conversion selections?
(I have two AG and got notified about my PC to the AC.)

They do still have a minimum redemption amount if you are redeeming for cash instead of a statement credit.
I wasn't aware of the Autograph being a metal hybrid card
Thanks for letting me know about the no FTF.
Does Autograph include streaming and are the travel and dining categories as broad?
