@Seat2a wrote:@NoMoreE46 Thanks for your help! As I replied to @AverageJoesCredit , I understand what you're saying but I did this at the suggestion of rep inside the branch. There's a sucker born every day...lol
Well the request should have been a SP hopefully. Looking forward to a CLI announcement from you next time.
@Seat2a wrote:@unsungivy Thank you for your reply. Yes, not through my 1K Autograph card. The first four statements I PIF then decided to throw them a few dollars in interest at aroung 10% utilization (overall Util around 3%) thinking it might be important to make a few bucks off me. As the bank rep said, and I agree, what am I suppose to do with 1K CL. I would never waste a HP for just 1K and now no increase. Always paid on time.
So you didn't heavily focus on card usage, and then you didn't PIF on purpose? 😳
I'm so confused by your strategies here and thinking that these make you a better prospect for a CLI in the eyes of WF.

@unsungivy I'm not sure I know either. I don't understand the WF "ideal" profile. At this point maybe I dont care what it is.
I do appreciate your comments however. Thank you!
I got the active cash after opening a checking, $325 bribe. They also paid the $200 cc bribe promptly. I got $8500 cl. I waited until 6 months passed, got a $9000 to $27000 cli from anex, waited for amex to post and then waited for wells credit close-up sp to update. Then I asked for a cli to $20000. They went for $10700, exactly a 25% increase. Not sure if all the gaming with amex cli helped at all, probably not. I don't think asking for 100% increase made any difference either.

@FicoMike0 I see WF shares were down more than 6%. They won't be getting a dime from me as I shut down my direct deposit and checking account as I have no faith in them whatsoever. IMO, they are still up to their old tricks. Maybe trying to gather more money for the lawsuit they lost. There's better fish in the sea! Thanks for your story. Congrats on the cli!
$1,000 SL is pretty low. I was disappointed that they only gave me $4,000 last year before I converted to Autograph.
I called in and asked what they could do for me. They said maybe up to $8,000 with a hard pull (really!?) or $5,000 SL ($1,000 increase) with soft, so I took the soft pull increase.
Hard pulls are something I reserve for cards I don't already have.
Didn't make sense to have the same card my spouse did when my spouse already has $10,000 SL on the Active Cash and I'm an AU, so I have the Autograph now.
@Gregory1776 wrote:I opened a active cash 16 months ago, mostly ran up the balance to the SL, 20K that's a lot - always paid on time but usually the minimum. They gave me an auto increase of 3K several months ago which I almost used all of as well, payments and history being the reason. The balance (9K left) is now getting paychecks thrown at it which will mean me paying it off in month or so.
they declined my request to 30K because lack of payments, balance vs payments, etc with the Wells Fargo account.
Didn't mention any of my other accounts reported.
I'll try again in January.
I suggest you keep using the card and making payments.I opened a checking with them hopefully i will like it, hopefully they'll like my deposits enough to grant me my CLI - I'll close the checking next year if they don't or I don't like the bank.
I never have a balance, or at least much of one, on my cards. I pay them all off at the end of the month. Even the ones in an intro period.
The whole point of intro APR (other than a balance transfer offer, which WF Reflect has the best one out there at 0% for 21 months), is to bait the hook.
