WF payment glitch. Owe money after paying statement balance?

Havent posted on here in awhile.

So I made a payment to WF and my balance updated to $0.00 right away.

it seems somehow my balance updated to me owing $0.36 without a posted transaction? There is no transaction for this amount on the account of recent. 36 cents is what my payment ended in so very weird.

My payment is still processing and not fully posted yet but a weird one. Of course I'll have to keep a close eye and call them if it doesn't change or a fraudulent transaction shows up.

Anybody else?

EDIT: Payment posted and back to $0.00 balance. Weird.

Trailing interest due to you having carried a small balance which you paid off could explain it.

That is a sneaky little devil, we've had members here end up with a derog reporting (I remember 1 case where it involved less than $1) because they didn't know to watch out for it. They paid off the reported balance to get it to $0 and never thought to circle back and check status because they hadn't used the card since.

Nope can't be trailing interest because no balance has been carried on the card. Statement also said balance subject to interest $0.00.

So a bit stumped.

There are a few options when paying a credit card, statement balance, current balance, minimum payment, and other.

The amount of statement balance is not always the same amount as current balance which might explain how this happened or it could be trailing interest as the previous poster explained.

Re: WF payment glitch. Owe money after paying statement balance?

This literally happened to me thus month. I used my Cash Wise for 1 purchase and paid it off as soon as it posted. Next time I signed in I noticed $0.11  balance and no way I owed interest. I paid thinking somehow I missed something even though I checked the mount of my charge and I don't want to risk a late over 11 cents. Check account a few days later I now have a credit of 11 cents on my account, in the red. So no clue what happened but definitely  weird.

That sounds like a carbon copy of what I'm seeing. Hopefully updates when the payment is fully processed.

Did your payment end in 11 cents?
