WFNNB closed my account for being inactive, wah.

I only use this card occassionally, but evidently I haven't used it in quite a while.  I had no idea they'd just close it without notifying me or anything. So I went to use it and it was declined. I called and they said "Oh it is inactive".  I was then offered to reinstate the card... I asked if this would be a hard inquiry, "oh yes it will".

Rats.  I said no, even though I wanted to say yes.  This board is like a watch dog... I would never have said no to VS!!

Call me blonde but I also didn't know they close accounts if you don't use them and not let you know about it.

This is one of the reasons that people suggest using a card every few months.  I have a couple of cards I rarely use - BUT: one has charitable donations on it, one pays for SW, and Amex pays the utilities.  That means each one is used every month.  So they remain active, I don't have to carry them and I know how much the bill be every month

So I looked on my Score Watch report and it does show "inactive". Does that look bad on my credit? Should I ask them to remove? or?

If it is in good standing, I would leave it.  I have an old one that says inactive and it stays on my report and helps with age

I would have said yes. VS has some awesome sales going on right now. Smiley Wink

Even if it would have cost me an inq, I would have done it. Just to get the history back and the use of the cc.
