No, I have not filed any claims, but it does not cost me anything.

I think some vendors may notice the difference even if they dont act like it.

What are those benefits that WEMC gives you when you are on an international trip?  I haven't seen any.

Of course the vendors notice the difference.  It costs them more in the form of higher swipe fees.

But even then it's more the business back office that will notice the difference.   In most cases, outside of small businesses where the owner is serving customers,, the person who takes your card (or watches you insert it) will probably not notice, (or even be aware that there is something they COULD notice!) Or care if they do.

Re: WMC, WEMC or VSC

I've read somewhere "by Invitation Only" exclusive type of membership perks (if we're talking symantics) and events... Like a world renowned chef cooking for you in the Himalayas and have no fear the Heli ride is also covered this sort of thing...

Consider supply and demand...

If events are "exclusive" only to people with a WEMC, then there are still millions of people invited. If an event can only accommodate 100 people, and tickets are actually available for people who just learn of it casually, that suggests a huge number of people aren't interested.

Contrast that with Centurion, where a much smaller customer base is frequently calling the concierge looking for particular dinner reservations or Hamilton tickets, yet they often don't get what they want.

I looked at some of Citi's events a few years ago to see just how "exclusive" they really were...

A James Taylor concert? Plenty of good seats were available at his numerous other concerts...and not expensive.

An evening with Mike Ditka? He was doing plenty of other group interviews/meet and greets.

NYC Ballet? Inflated pricing, and lots of seats available to the general public.
