Re: WOOHOO approved for BofA 99/500

I didn't know you get the $99 back, I do know they give increases more often than most.Is there some where on here that tells more about the card, anyone know?

Re: WOOHOO approved for BofA 99/500

Hi Michelle, Smiley Happy

Unfortunately there's no info on the BofA site
re the 99/500 card...and that's the way they want it.

For whatever reason, BofA has chosen not to market
this card the way they do their other credit cards. The
price for admission, so to speak, is denial for one of
their other cards...and a hard inquiry.

Given the current financial climate, I think this is the
perfect time for such a product...but I'm not running
the store.

You can do a general search on Google/Yahoo for
99/500, but that's about it. Smiley Happy

Re: WOOHOO approved for BofA 99/500

I just transferd $500 to open a My Access checking account.  No fees forever, they wave the 5.75 monthly maint. fee for the life of the account if you apply and are approved online.  I'll wait for the info and let them take the $99 out of that.  lol.  The offer is good til 5/29 on the 99/500 card so I've got time.

Re: WOOHOO approved for BofA 99/500

Do you receive the offer for the 99/500 online after you are denied for another product, or does it come to you in the mail?  I know you are not guaranteed to receive the offer, just want to make sure I know what to look for.

They give you the 99 back plus any interest you may have accrued.  They don't list the information online, but there is plenty of info on here.  They "graduate" you after 7-9 months (I cant remember which one) of on time payments, then usually at 1 year they give you an increase to 1k.  I have had my card for 4 years now and am up to 4k.  It has been a great rebuilder card!

After you were denied online (meaning they gave you a counter offer), or in the mail? How have others received their offer for the card? To the OP: Will you advise how you received the offer for the card?

Re: WOOHOO approved for BofA 99/500

Hi PurpleHaze, Smiley Happy

unknown wrote this in an earlier post but perhaps you didn't see it.

A counteroffer for the 99/500 came via snail mail.
Everyone else who received the 99/500 offer got it via snail mail.

You only receive this counteroffer unless you are denied for another credit
card. It doesn't matter if you're denied online, via snail mail  or if you go into
a BofA branch.

The point is, you only get the counteroffer via snail mail after you are denied.

Hope this helps. Smiley Happy

Re: WOOHOO approved for BofA 99/500

Thanks. I did UE's response, however when I was reading other posts about it, I thought I saw where some people got it online.  Probably me not understanding.  Thanks for the clarification.
