WaMu Recon--

I called WaMu today to see if I can do a product change to a "rewards" card...since I haven't use the card in three months. It was a no go...they said I had to wait to be offered the card. However, I told them how disappointed I am in them as a company and how I plan to not continuing using the card until they "incentivize" it for me a little bit. So they came back and lowered my APR from prime + 6.74 to prime +5.74 (my second APR reduction in one month!)

So my new APR is 10.99 w/ WaMu. I'll try again next month for the rewards card, since APRs really don't mean a whole lot to me (still feels good to get reductions though)...stay tuned!

Re: WaMu Recon--

Congrats on your APR reduction!

I just tried the Cap 1 backdoor for the first time, and I didn't get my CLI I asked for, but I did get an APR reduction from 19.8% to 12.9%. I'm hoping that's fixed, don't know all the details but should be getting a letter from them shortly. Congrats again, can't beat two in one month! Unless you make it three of course...

I did the same thing this past Monday...called the backdoor number & requested a cli. Declined, but they offered the APR rate reduction from 23.99% to 12.9%. I received the letter on Friday. The letter's very interesting.

It's based on the LIBOR interest rate(London Interbank Offered Rate) + 8.05%(currently equals 12.9%. The APR on the card remains fixed for 3 months. They adjust the rates quarterly. So it's a quarterly variable rate.

I'm told the LIBOR rate is published in the Wall Street Journal.
