So on average how long do you need to have the store card in order to start hoping to get the offer for the upgrade to Mastercard?

Anywhere from a few months to a few years. Synchrony goes through phases where they will batch upgrade a ton of people at one time.

Yeah we have seen people with lots of years to those who recently got it and cl doesnt aeem to matter. I guess Discover has its dartboard, Synchrony plays Bingo!!

Honestly, if you really want it, I'd just wait until your scores and profile fit the description of what Sync likes to see for MC/VS consumers and then app. From reading around the forum it seems that the best chance to score a MC/VS with them is somewhere in the 700+ range but YMMV. Good luck in your quest to get one!
