Walmart CLI without asking

I got a 750.00 increase from Walmart without asking from 1000 to 1750. This is big for GEMB and Walmart imho. The largest I've ever gotten in the past was about 200.00. Here's my theory why. I have two purchases that total less then 500.00. These purchases have no interest. One expires in Dec of 2008 and the other expires in June of 2009. I've been paying enough to pay them off by June of this year actually. I think they think that if i have a larger credit limit I will make a regular purchase and then my payment will go towards that and not the interest free purchases thus hoping i will forget the interest free and let it expire. Well I've got news for them, I'm not biting. It's so much fun when you learn to play the credit card game to your advantage.

CONGRATS for the cli ,and would you please tell us how long have you had the card before you get it ?

I've had the card for a long time. 2-3 or more years but this is the first time they have given me a cli without me having to push the luv button. They will give a cli at the 4th statement since the last cli but they have always been very small. You have to have a good payment reputation since the last cli and it has to be 4 months and really has to be 4 statements. So in other words if you don't have a balance then you can't get a CLI until you've made 4 payments.

Congrats! I PIF'd my card before the statement cut and they wouldn't give me a CLI so I kicked them to the curb last month.

Luv Button = the place to request a credit limit increase. It's usually on the left hand side of the web page.
