Just checked freecreditreport.com and credit karma it shows a new account but no inquiry. is it possible that walmart just sent me a credit card?

I would pull reports but the new account sounds like walmart due to changing numbers for your protection

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

It would be illegal to send you a card (new original acct) without your permission, check your other reports as well, possible the inquiry was on a different CRA

OP has a new card and account as a result of closing the old account due to possible fraud

A week or so ago I got a email at 4am saying my email had changed from my walmart account. I called when I got up and they said that someone had changed my information. I had them delete that account.

Today I recieved a walmart credit card in the mail. What do I do about it?

I'm confused....so did you already have a WM card when you received this email from them?  If so,  and you called them saying I didn't change my email that would have prompted them to send you out a new card for security purposes.  However, if you did NOT have an open account with them already and got that email + a card in the mail...I agree with the others freeze your CR and get a credit monitoring service ASAP.

I did not have a walmart credit card. I just had a walmart account to order from walmart. This is a new card.

Re: Walmart Card

I should clarify.

I just set up an account after ordering products from walmart so next time I order it would be faster. I have never applied for a walmart CC.

So your saying Walmart has given you a store card having not every applied? Someone made a big mistake on their part sounds like.

I undersatnd you now you just had an online account which somehow has resulted in a card for that account now...
