I applied for a Walmart Card last night, it was the app that checks you for Walmart Discover then if denied, checks for Store Card. I was denied for both I suppose, I called their backdoor number listed in the forum this morning and asked. They said the reason for deniel was my score was to low and had a baddie on my report (School Loans in Collection) You can see my current score below, but I thought for sure I would at least get approved for a Store Card and work my way up to the Discover. Any advice on how to proceed with them now, or if I should at all. I did recently acquire BOA & Cap 1 credit cards 500 & 200 CL, but only the BOA has so far been reported. I'm thinking I should just sit on these two for 6 months or so making payments etc and try to raise my score some more then try again. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Edit: I would like to add just one more card to the two I currently have, was wanting a store card in the trio...is there a better one I should try for, maybe one that pulls equifax?

The upside is you should get your score from Walmart when they send denial letter... lets see what that TU score is because I don't see any Fico scores that you have posted, they could be drastically lower.
I'm surprised you got unsecured Bank of America but not a GE card!! hmm... Bank of America opening back up to people again?
The BOA card was a 99/500 deal. And the Cap 1 is a 49/200, sorry didn't make that clear. So they are both secured. Thinking maybe my AAoA could be a problem on that too. I actually went almost 10 years without touching my credit history at all, so most things had fallen off, but the school loans of course won't go away. I am currently paying them, but I have to finish the 10-12 month program from the CA at which time they will remove the loan from my report. still have 5-7 months to go on that.
