Walmart store card

I'm making a big purchase tomorrow at Wal-Mart and would like to use the 0% option on the store card. Can I apply for it now, get approved then use it tomorrow? Or am I going to have to wait and fill out the app while I'm there? Can I get the number and use it before I receive the actual card?

They have an in store application process. Many people have reported that the approval could not be done in the store and required more info. They do not give card numbers before hand. If you apply on line today (tonight) my guess is 7 to 10 days to get the card. We got a Sam's card with a promo that required us to go to the club. They told us we were approved and let us use it that day. That was several years ago.

I got my Walmart card online 2 months ago. Very easy process. They will email you a temporary card to use in store immediately. I had no problem using mine at all before the card came in the mail.

Quick question,

Does anyone know if you add a cardholder for the Store card does it report to their credit like an authorized user for a regular credit card does? I'm thinking about adding my girlfriend but I don't want to change her credit rating or AAoA or anything?

It'll report to her reports. So it can change her AAoA and everything else.
