Walmart store card?

I was looking at Walmart's credit card page and I did not see a link to apply for a store card. Then I read about the Synchrony and Walmart issues. Is this why you can't apply at the moment or is it only a store application for the store card?

My son just got approved for the Walmart Mastercard. 

 Google Walmart Credit card and scroll down to where you see "Open a Walmart Credit Card & get $25 back"...that link will take you to their page that says "Apply Now" which then directs you to their application page.(takes a few seconds)

Sign into your WalMart account, if you have one. There's a link to apply.
