Eh... I'd accept it. Have you seen how difficult it is to get that damn upgrade??!??! It is marked as "transferred" on my credit report, although a new line was def open. A new, significantly higher credit line is a better asset than worrying about aaoa. Accept, accept, accept!!!!!!
So the AAOA would be affected, my worry is we can not afford to lose any points right now. I would go for it if I knew DH wouldn't get dinged for it. I have been waiting on this notification for a while so I know it doesn't come easily. If the TR shows up as transferred that isn't so bad right??

It is nice to be offered the upgrade, but I have read on here that depending on how high your Walmart CL is, they may give the Discover version a lower limit.
Our limit now is 2,600... I hope not, if we do the upgrade, I would want a higher CL.

I'm in the middle of the mortgage process as well and my lender doesn't want me doing ANYthing with credit besides keeping my balances low. I would suggest waiting until a few weeks after closing or at least asking your lender first.
We will wait it out, the house is way more important. You're right.
