Wamu 2-4 week message?

I got a pre-approval offer in the mail for the wamu MC. I apped and I got the 'we cannot process your application at this time. You will hear something in 2-4 weeks." WTH does that mean? Anyone else ever get this message? Isn't it usually a yes or no?

Hi!  Well I received a similar message last Nov. for the same card.  When the letter came in the mail, I was sure it was a turndown.  When I opened it, it said to call so they could verify some info.  It was scary, but I ended up getting approved!  Good luck to you!

The original poster mentioned that a customer service rep said there are 3 types of messages: Approved with $x limit 2-4 weeks (determining credit limit) Denied Your mileage may vary, good luck!
