I did burn Amex in my Chapter 7 BK and I do plan to pay them back. Better late than never, right? I do want to burn them again, but this time with churning My BK was medical related, but I had to use the AMEX a little bit (burned them for about $700).
In addition to paying them back I had questions about reestablishing the relationship by getting on my mom's account as an authorized user. I'm planning to just put my Netflix subscription on the account and not even physically possess the card. Then I can just set up my checking account to automatically deduct the money to pay the AMEX bill every month.
However my Google Fu has gotten some mixed results on the AMEX blacklist and being added as an authorized user. It seems like a lot of people get denied if they have to enter their SS right when applying for an authorized user, but I found a post by this gal, link below who was able to get on her husband's card (despite AMEX being IIB) by getting added as an authorized user without initially giving them her social security number. Long story short, does anyone know how to get added as an authorized user without having to initially put the social security number in but then put it in later? Do I have my mom tell them she doesn't have my social security card handy when adding me, then add it after the card arrives? Any other data points for this method?

"So the story continues....we got a letter from Amex 2 days ago reiterating the need to provide my SSN within 60 days, which we had every intention of doing so right at the 60 day mark. Fast forward one day, I got my AU card in the mail yesterday. When activating it I was required to enter my SSN. So I did, closed my eyes and poof, it actually gave me a screen to create a login! Funny enough, once I got in, it says I was a member since 2004 😂😂😂. So guess I'm back in(ish). I'll update if they end up shutting me down"
Op- What is your current credit profile, when was your BK discharged?
