Re: Wells Fargo Credit info

Found it:

If you use the service, the funds advanced from your credit card will be charged to your cash advance APR plus a FINANCE CHARGE of:

  • $12.50 if the total of overdraft protection advances for the day is $50 or less;
  • $20 if the total of overdraft protection advances for the day is greater than $50.

It also helps if one has an established history with Wells Fargo.  I've got a mortgage and another loan with them, in addition to the two (now 1) credit cards.  In addition to the spend correlation that the OP discussed, the analyst I spoke with mentioned that, in looking over my profile, I have a lot of funds going through Wells Fargo, and that they appreciate my business.  I bet they do !!

Also of note:  As with all Wells Fargo cards, one can only make 2 payments per month, on line at their website.  I specifically asked about that, since the Propel card uses the AMEX system, but was told that since it's a WF issued card, it's still only 2 payments per month.  I was hoping that they would follow the AMEX protocol and allow more payments from their on line website.  One can always call in and pay more times per month, or push from your non-WF account.

If I don't have to talk to them: Navy HANDS DOWN... no fees for so much, all accounts link, can transfer, no fees!

If I can't pick a credit union, I think I would have to pick Chase but it's been years since I have had them... we parted under not such good terms when I was unemployed and being billed fees for not having direct deposit... of course it wasn't until all bridges had been BURNED by them that a manager heard that my unemployment was being deposited to them but the system didn't consider that direct deposit and he offered to waive the fees for life and I should have caught myself and left it open but like I had spoke with managers and everything for weeks so it was little to late by then.

OK cool.  I like NFCU too.  I think (based on my recent history) FIA and Discover are my favorites.  They have been very generous to me.

Wow, you have a 25k FIA card.  I went from $5k-$12,500 in two months on my FIA Fidelity Visa and three months later I have the BoFA Cash Rewards card at $7k.

They approved my partner for $15 and took $10 from his $15k cash card to make it $25k
