Wells Fargo Product Change from Cash Wise to Rewards Signature

I currently hold a WF cash wise Visa Signature. I have been thinking of product changing to the Amex Propel, but they told me that the only product I can change to is the Rewards Visa Signature card that's black and gold. What are your experiences with product changing from cards like Cash wise or any WF card that is Visa Signature? If you were me would you PC to the Visa Signature Rewards or keep the Cash Wise Signature?

You need to check the terms and confirm with Wells if the bonus points on the Signature is applicable to customers product changing. Even if it is, are you going to do $12,500 in spend on gas, groceries and drugstore in 6 months? If you are, then the 50,000 points might be worth the swtich but for most I would think 1.5% on everything is less of a hassle. If you can max out the spend the Signature is "better" in the short to medium term, but you will have to decide if its worth it.

Another item to keep in mind OP, a PC with WF isn't like most well-known PCs.

The old card will be closed and the newly PC'd product will report as a new tradeline. Potentially, you won't be eligible for the introductory purchase/BT APR either.

I'm well aware that I won't be eligible for the intro bonus. And I'll earn only 1x per dollar spent. But oddly somehow I like the look of the card.

As @FinStar said, the old account will be “Closed by Consumer” and entire new TL created. Learned this the hard way prior to joining the forum.

Rewards Signature would be a good card to pair with either the Cash Wise or Propel vis-a-vis the Chase Trifecta. When transferring points/cash to the Rewards Signature points are 50% more value...ie 20,000 points = $300 in airfare vs 20,000 points = $200 cash back
