Greetings folks,
Just wanted to share some DPs regarding this particular card and its pre-qualification/approval processes.
I have both a good friend and family member in the market for new bed sets.
They both did the prequalification for the Wells Fargo Tempur-Pedic Credit Card. They were both pre-qualified for pretty sizable limits ($8,000 and $12,000).
Both were declined with 700+ FICO scores.
Both took double bureau hits: EQ and TU.
Both were denied any reconsideration after calling to speak with a rep (subsequent to waiting on hold for 20 minutes).
Mind you, these are just reported DPs. Obviously, YMMV with such matters.
But I think we can safely say that NO pre-qualifications (or even pre-approvals) are guarantees for final approval. I realize that is fairly common knowledge for regulars of this board, but newer users may find the disclaimer to be helpful.
In my wallet: Local Credit Union $25,000, Northwest Bank VISA $25,000, AMEX BCP $15,000
