Received a pre-qualified mailing from Wells Fargo for their Cash Wise Visa Platinum card. Not sure how reliable these are. On the same day, received a pre-qualified mailing for a business line of credit with Wells Fargo. I have not banking relationship nor have I ever had any other financial instrument with Wells Fargo. I have been offered pre-qualifed business lines with both banks I work with, which I do not need. But I am interested in the credit card. Anyone reply to this offer? If so what was the result?

DW got that offer earlier this month... approved for $2k.
She DOES have a relationship with WF, but it's new... earlier in 2018.
No lates, no baddies, no derogatories of any kind... utilization around 42%.
I dont't know, I rather use a hard pull with a different bank than WF as their CCs are not that good from my perspective. The new Propel card maybe but I don't know, that's just me.
I've been prequalified for cash wise, and a couple of months later, the Propel. If they sent me a Propel prequal first, I would have grabbed it (I have since changed my strategy). Personally, I'd wait for the Propel. I have no banking relationship with them as well. Odds are, they would do a hard inquiry when you apply, and the prequal is in no way a guarantee of approval.

I used to get Cash Wise offers in the mail often, then I started getting pop-ups while logging into my WF account.
When I got an offer for a Propel I pulled the trigger, and was approved for the APR shown in the offer. There was a HP, of course.
Thank you for the replies. I will probably pass on the Wells Fargo mailing offers. I don't see much use in the card versus what I already have.
Also, I don't want additional HP since I want to apply for the Citi Prestige early next year.

I'm thinking about possibly pulling the trigger on a Platinum prequal I received in the mail from WF (and I do have a checking account with them). Would you mind sharing who the HP was with? Thanks!!
Wells pulls EX.

They've also been known to pull EQ or TU, as has been shared in mutilple DPs.
