No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
So I just ran across the ability to PC one of your WF cards to another one.
This a very neat option for the consumer to execute. It is only from the website that I am aware of.
Offerings seem to be limited (didn't see the Attune.) I have the Active Cash and Autograph currently.
Thanks for letting us know about this new feature. It's not available to me yet, but that is probably because my card is only a few months old. I'll check again around the 1 year anniversary mark.

Yes, it's a neat feature @NoMoreE46 but it's not new. Wells Fargo has had this on their cards (at least for some cardholders) for at least two to three years, since around the time they started remaking their card lineup. I've had offers for most of that time to product change my Cash Wise to either Autograph or Active Cash but I've sat on it. I even posted about it in February here. I was debating whether giving up the perks on Cash Wise for the extra half cent cash back was the best deal, but I may do it soon. I plan to apply for another WF card in the next year and probably eventually roll some credit limits together.
This is the only lender I've ever seen make a product change opportunity so obvious and easy to accomplish! Most other lenders make you investigate whether they do them and which cards are available.
Thanks for the info. I have always been a big fan of product changes to maintain a credit card's original opening date. I think worrying about a SUB by creating a new account is often short-sighted. A product change can have some other distinct advantages-- about two years ago I product changed a then 15 year old no rewards WF card to WF active cash. In the interim, I have noticed that they maintained my old card account's interest rate formula which is currently 13.49 percent. I don't carry a balance but I probably have one of the lowest active cash card interest rates out there. Similarly, as I have transitioned through the years to USAA rewards cards, when they established the programs, I notice they left my interest rate formula at about a current 11.5 percent interest rate which is not offered to equivalent new accounts.

Almost all issuers keep your APR etc when you're changing cards, with the exception of a specifically low rate card I would assume (usually a calculation of prime + the base you qualified for). I've noticed a few issues have a lower APR available on non-premium cards by a few %, and that small of a shift does stay intact if you upgrade. So it's "possible" to get a lower rate on a card by changing than you could if you applied for it directly.
I had no idea WF had this 🤯, so this post is useful to me! I don't have any WF personally, but I had P2 get the Attune, and so far I have liked the clarity of things on their website.
Whoa- thanks @Aim_High. Me thinks this may have been around now since 2022. So this will reinforce our doppelganger postins that we do.
Thanks to the OP for sharing the valuable info! I signed into my WF account and tried checking to see if the PC option was available for me, but unfortunately, it didn't seem to show up for me under my account, even though I have had the WF Autograph (previously a Propel) since on or around 2018 YMMV I guess as to whether WF gives you the PC option...
Unfortunately does not work with my Expedia OneKey card (which sucks because I'd gladly trade that in for an Autograph).
