And to think I didnt even get the card yet, I used the temp card....Thank goodness everything still has the tags on. I am going back first thing in the morning and taking it all back (minus a dress)...On the bright side..when I went to kohls yesterday I was good. Only charged 100. will pif...I don't know how anyone sleeps at night knowing they owe $ on cards..It freaks me out...I guess I'm just a "sock drawer" kinda gal...Smiley Wink

Smiley Happy My mom and MIL regularly purchase items and then return them. DH and I believe this is a form of recreation for them.

My MIL even has QVC on speed-dial.

Currently, however, neither are interested in their respective scores nor credit reports: neither will be purchasing a new home, car, nor app'ing for a cc in the near future.

Re: Went on shopping spree...utl high...returning everything!

Ok, this is kind of rec for me too! When things are tight, but I have the urge to shop, I go out and buy whatever my heart desires. I take it home, try it on. And for a a moment I feel so GREAT!!! But then i pack it all up, and take it back to the stores. It helps me feel like I can shop, especially when things are tight. It is my form of retail therapy. I only do this when I feel the need to shop, but know I have no way to pay. Does this make me wise, or a little mental???? Never mind don't answer that question!

And I do the same thing too! Get approved for a shiny new card, you just HAVE to take it out of your wallet and try it out, right? Smiley Happy

I usually go out and buy a pair of shoes, or earrings or some lingerie. But try to limit it to 1 item only. And that's so hard to do. lol

I know the feeling, got approved for Macy's last week for $1k, was so excited couldn't even wait for the card.  Yesterday, went out with the family and charges items for my girls came to $80 and me $40. Went I got to the register to pay the FORUM popped in my head about utility.  At that moment I couldn't let the card get the best of me so I paid $50 payment before even receiving the card or statement.  I will make another payment when I get the card next week.  No high bills or utility shortage for me....LOL

Careful with regular returns.  Many stores are now tracking habitual returners and then denying their returns in the future.

This is why I don't carry credit cards. I have to go home to get the card if I want to make a purchase like that. It gives me plenty of time to ask myself if I really need to buy those things or if I should really just hold on to my money.

Very good point.

I can't remember which stores they said were doing this; does anyone know?
