I received the Ritz Card being beyond 10/24...
From what I understand, 5/24 is just a general guideline and not a set in stone thing. People like the person that replied above have opened a Chase CC while at > 5/24. I'm currently sitting at 7/24 and am pre-qualified for a bunch of Chase cards on their site right now and most everyone says that their pre-quals are pretty solid.

Did you apply for it online?

Chase IHG

Chase Disney
Chase Fairmont
Chase Marriott Premier business card
Chase Ritz-Carlton
Chase Amazon
Chase AARP
These weren't part of 5/24 last time I read about them a few months back, of course that's subject to change and may have.
I applied for the AARP and Fairmont card, the guy at recon said they are both subject to 5/24 now and there is no way to go around.

First they don't publically acknowledge the 5x24 rule.. If you would of let your applications sit and didn't call you might of been approved unless they were truely insta-declined... Many people can vouch that those cards are not part of the 5/24 rule..If you call up and try to recon sure chase can say you have to many new accounts, but that doesn't mean those cards fall under the 5x24 rule. Tons of people from this forum and many others have applied for many of those above mentioned cards with tons of new accounts recently and have been approved
