Re: What I Do Now

I would have left one cc reporting util between one and nine percent...all zeros is not great for scoring purpose...even 2 bucks is great!

Congrats on paying off but always leave a balance on one card if your trying to increase scores

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: What I Do Now

You need to have some sort of balances showing when the card reports to the CRA and it needs to be at least 1/2%  I know because I have played around with it.  It was like an 8 point difference for me when I went from just 1/4% to a whole half percent.  They do round up so as long as it shows 1% then you are good.  But I just charge gas and some groceries and pay off once it reports.  I found out that my US Bank card reports on the 1st. I called Cap one and they said that it varies every 30-60 days and Victoria Secret acted like I was asking for the key to the White House when I asked her what day they report.  She said they didn't have that information and they wouldn't be allowed to tell me if they did.  eyeroll

Re: What I Do Now

I try to let a tank of gas report once a month on one of my cards. It seems to help.
