To anyone that wants a chase limit increase, just pick the card that has the best bonus for your needs. AARP $200 is great, as is Mariott, IHG, etc. Then just move the limit via secure message.
You can definitely get 2 cards with 1 hp, 3 is pushing it. Dont take a HP for a CLI unless you were planning on a CSP or freedom due to 5/24 rule

This method results in a HP and an AAOA ding with the new account, though, so I'd only suggest it if you actually want a new account. Otherwise, makes more sense to just suck it up and do a HP CLI. A HP on its own isn't as bad as a HP plus a new tradeline.
Plus, Chase can detect patterns of "open card/collect bonus/move limit/SD card" and may not respond favorably to you in the future.
@Anonymous wrote:I have both the Chase SP and Chase Marriott Preferred cards and I want to ask if any one knows when I can ask for a CLI? Does Chase do anything like AMEX in regards to their 61-day rule? If anyone can shine some light on this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and enjoy what remains of your day.
the easiest way to get Chase CLI's are to use the card hard, spend lots, 50% of your credit line or more, PIF or better yet carry a balance, make chase think you need more credit.or take the HP for cli, but personally its easier to apply for a new card and move CL to your other cards.

This advice would be applicable for individuals who are in the market for a new CC and said bonus. Not for someone who wants to have their AAoA impacted as a result of opening a new account in addition to the HP.
Unfortunately, your recommendation on not taking a HP for a CLI is a bit flawed IMO. Circumstances vary for every individual and opening new accounts willy nilly doesn't always work. I've been able to get CLIs on my Chase CCs (auto and initiated by me) without issues. Now, that may not work for everyone (depending on the profile) but a HP for a CLI doesn't ding AAoA.
If this is anything to go off, they just doubled my limit to $3200. Up until last month I was negligent with my Freedom carrying relatively large balances. I think one month I was utilising 95%. Granted I always made the slightly more than the minimum. Also I think with all my CL's increasing lately it may have light a fire under them.

if it was bank of america id say definitely take the HP.. chase has been known to be very stingy with CLIs and that has been repeated here ad nauseum.

Understood, but an item to keep in mind is that the MF forums represent a very tiny fraction of actual Chase cardholders relative to those who would traditionally receive auto-CLIs or customer-initiated requests directly through Chase. I suppose for individuals with decent profiles the "stinginess" factor may not be something they may be aware of. It really depends on the individual's financial goals whether it's those who are building/rebuilding to others who have good/excellent profiles where such method may not apply for all.
I received a $2k cli on my Disney Chase Premier Visa 5 months after it opened in Sept 2015 and i was carrying a large balance on it. It went from $9,500 to $11,500.
